Book Signing At Franklin Library May 1st, 2010

I would like to personally thank all those that came out to my book signing on Saturday at the Franklin Library.  I would consider it a success, I was very pleased with the turnout.  Because I wanted to do an event while in NH and do it before the release date of May 18th it was not heavily advertised but the people who attended was substantial.  All of you touched my heart in one way or another.  Just to see how many still care about what happened to Kathy and want to see justice served after all these years was overwhelming.

The first event held in NH was in Franklin because it’s where I grew up and also where Kathy was murdered.  When I go back to Franklin it always brings back a flood of good and bad memories.  I chose the Franklin Library because the time I spent there as a child and as a high school student were sweet ones.

I am humbled and truly thankful for all of you that care.

    1. Hi Darlene,
Thank you for contacting me, I do remember all of that. I loved spending time with Grammy Gloddy, she was a favorite of mine. I have many wonderful memories of being with her and playing with my cousins. From catching bullfrogs at the pond, which Grammy would fry and we ate frog legs. 🙂 I remember the sand pit, your above ground pool, the sled dogs and the race. I won a ceramic red apple that day for a race. I’m not sure why it was an apple. I believe it was your brother that made me an oriental outfit to wear in the Tilton parade and I won a prize, penny candy. I looked at the picture and the newspaper article, thank you for sharing that. I hope you don’t mind but I copied it to a file. It’s important for me to hang on to good memories like that.
Thank you so much for reading the book, emotionally, it is a hard read. I’m hoping many will read it, to get Kathy’s story out and also, I pray it will give people hope. That giving up won’t be an option. There is always something to live for.
      Take care Darlene,
      Karen
